Water Harvesting Plant:

Due to scanty rain fall and the water table receding very fast water has become a very big issue especially in Rajasthan. In the year 2010 the water in our well dried up and we had to dig a new well which was very expensive. Keeping the above factors in mind we decided to invest in a Water Harvesting Plant (Save the rain water). We created a Water Harvesting Plant at the school premises whose storing capacity is 274620 Liters. Rain water is collected by pipes to the underground tank, which leads to the soak pit. This water is collected and finally reaches the bore well. This helps to maintain the water level of the well for a long duration. We are very grateful to Astrid Strahm and St. Georges School Ascot, UK for funding this venture.

The Local Body and Villagers have been included to help in this venture to save the Environment: As environment is a very big issue in India, we at READS want to bring about the awareness of saving our Environment. We are thankful to Astrid Strahm and Samarpan Foundation Nawalgarh for sponsoring this project.
